8.Cookies & Similar Technologies

VidSnip's mobile app does not use browser cookies. Our third-party SDKs (Firebase, Google AdMob) may use device identifiers, advertising IDs, or SDK-level local storage to enable analytics, crash reporting, and ad delivery/measurement, under their own privacy terms.

If VidSnip is accessed through a companion website, that site may use standard cookies or local storage for essential functionality and, where applicable, analytics/ads — you can control these through your browser settings.

10.California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, applicable law may give you the right to know what personal information is processed, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA) of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

VidSnip does not sell personal data for money. To the extent any advertising SDK use could be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can limit this using your device's ad-personalization opt-out described in Section 9. You may submit a rights request via the contact details in Section 18.

11.EEA / UK / Switzerland Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing include: performance of the requested service (processing a pasted video URL), our legitimate interests (reliability, abuse prevention, product improvement), and, where required for advertising personalization, your consent.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Requests can be sent to the contact in Section 18. If unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12.Children's Privacy

VidSnip is not directed to children under 13 (or minimum age in your region). If you believe a child submitted personal information to us, contact us for review and deletion support.

13.Security

We apply reasonable technical safeguards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

14.International Transfers

Depending on hosting/provider location, technical data may be processed in countries outside your own region.

New section

15.Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a security incident that creates a real risk of harm to you, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and, where required by applicable law, notify affected users and/or relevant authorities without undue delay.

16.Third-Party Links

Videos or content accessed via URLs you paste/share originate from third-party platforms. VidSnip is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party services, and we recommend reviewing their own privacy policies.

17.Policy Updates

We may update this policy if app behavior changes. The "Last updated" date will be revised when changes are made.

New: For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide reasonably prominent notice — such as an in-app notice, update note, or store listing update — in addition to revising the date above.
